BIO
My name is Jordan Callahan and I am a May 2014 graduate of Iowa State University. I have my bachelor's begree in creative apparel design and a minor in journalism and mass communication. Fashion has always been a tremendous part of my life and I believe that fashion is the boldest way to express yourself without having to say a word.

I was given the opportunity to study abroad at Accademia Italiana in Florence, Italy from June to July 2012. That experience allowed me grew as a person and as a designer, learning to take every moment and create from it. Throughout my college experience I had the opportunity to intern for major designers and brands, including Nanette Lepore, Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley and Komar.
I currently reside in New York City and work as the in-shop designer at Kit and Ace in Nolita. Hired as the first in-shop designer in a U.S. shop, I have assisted in the development of the in-shop design and tailoring process. Working alongside the in-shop tailor, we design and develop new styles based on New York trends and customer feedback, which is presented to our headquarters design team monthly. The design team chooses full or elements of my designs and if chosen are produced in future collections. This position allows me to work and communicate with our target customers on a daily basis and design based on what they want and need.
My lifelong goal is to change the lives of those who wear my designs or read one of my pieces. I strive to observe the world around me and create based on my visions.
