The personal essay assignment required my fashion and beauty writing class to indulge in the ultimate beauty cleanse, ditching makeup for one week.  Inspired by Phoebe Baker Hyde's memoir, "The Beauty Experiment," in which Hyde embarks on a quest in search for her inner-beauty, giving up fashion and beauty for one year.  This story transports readers throughout my journey, exposing my raw feelings and discoveries I made along along my makeup-less week.
